We have entered a new phase with Joel as he develops an interest in dinosaurs. We have visited the Australian Museum a couple of times lately which has provided great entertainment.
Joel loves Thomas, and really anything to do with trains. This photo is from a few months ago now, but he’s still as addicted to his Thomas.
Watch out Zoe, Joely’s catching up (and is actually heavier).
Let the dizziness begin.
Joel is into puzzles in a big way. Wiggles, Bananas in Pajamas, Thomas and a truck one are his current collection. It is very cute to watch as he congratulates himself as each piece is fitted correctly and as he finishes with a “ta da” once its done. Apart from all the usual benefits of [...]
Here’s the latest: Zoe loves craft and I mean LOVES craft. Each day she scours the house for straws, milk bottles, pots and pans, scissors, sticky tape and string and starts creating. She is reading a little as we spend about 1/2 hour most days doing reading eggs. She desperately wants to go to ballet [...]
Zoe (4): favourite animal – kangaroo, favourite colour – purple (up to now it was pink but purple is more grown up), favourite engines – Rosie and Emily, favourite food – chicken snitzel with noodles. Joel (2): favourite animal – giraffe, favourite colour – green and/or yellow, favourite engines – Thomas and Molly, favourite food [...]
Especially anything that has trains inside the book!
We now have a new playground at a local park which is awesome. It has a great bucket swing, spider web, and some of the new style equipment. The kids LOVE it.
A quick comparison of our 3 each at around 8 months of age.
It was a good day, for we tired out the Joel-meister.
Or, sometimes a run. (The cameraman was running backwards)
Our kids both received scooters for Christmas from Nanna and Grandad and they have now mastered the art of riding them.
Love the look of triumph when they learn the art of catching the ball.
Each night before bed Zoe and Joel have a cup of milk. Joel is a routine boy – he must have his milk, he must be sitting next to Zoe while he drinks it and they must sit on the kitchen floor. Zoe likes to stir the pot and gets up and moves around the [...]
Joel has had a couple of sessions of speech therapy to help him with a mild speech delay. Today was a great day as he is progressing well and should only need a few more sessions next year. He is gradually adding to his vocabulary and is just starting to put two words together. This [...]
Zoe and Joel love playing hide and seek.
After a busy day at the Zoo, mission accomplished. Three sleeping children in the back seat.
Sky Scraper is Zoe’s name for the chairlift at the zoo. She loves it. Joel on the other hand was not impressed when it stopped half way up.
Joel was particularly fascinated by the Emu (which he is pointing to in the picture below) and the giraffe statue.
Here are a few photos of Zac’s time in Wee Waa & Tamworth Hospitals.
Joel and Zoe both love playing hide and seek with doona’s and curtains.
Joel has recently worked out how to spit out the toothpaste. He thinks its absolutely hilarious and goes into fits of laughter when he does it. He also likes to demonstrate his new spitting technique at other times – oh dear.
