We have entered a new phase with Joel as he develops an interest in dinosaurs. We have visited the Australian Museum a couple of times lately which has provided great entertainment.
Recently, we went to a party of a good friend. Zoe had her face painted.
Watch out Zoe, Joely’s catching up (and is actually heavier).
Let the dizziness begin.
We're off on holidays tomorrow, and today it's all that stuff you have to do before you go. Finalising everything, administration, packing, making sure everything will work when you are away. One needs a holiday after preparing for the holiday. Ironic. We are looking forward to the break though – especially the good quality [...]
Here’s the latest: Zoe loves craft and I mean LOVES craft. Each day she scours the house for straws, milk bottles, pots and pans, scissors, sticky tape and string and starts creating. She is reading a little as we spend about 1/2 hour most days doing reading eggs. She desperately wants to go to ballet [...]
Zoe (4): favourite animal – kangaroo, favourite colour – purple (up to now it was pink but purple is more grown up), favourite engines – Rosie and Emily, favourite food – chicken snitzel with noodles. We now have a new playground at a local park which is awesome. It has a great bucket swing, spider web, and some of the new style equipment. The kids LOVE it.
A quick comparison of our 3 each at around 8 months of age.
Zoe is a good runner. She runs for some time and isn’t puffed when she stops.

The beach regularly received our patronage.
We’ve recently returned from a week long holiday to Burleigh – our usual holiday location. A week just is not long enough. More photos to follow. However, this is one I particularly like.
Our kids both received scooters for Christmas from Nanna and Grandad and they have now mastered the art of riding them.
Love the look of triumph when they learn the art of catching the ball.
On the way home in the car this evening Zoe could not stop talking. One of her topics went something like this: “When you and Daddy get old and go to heaven, Joely, Zaccy & me will be grown up, then Joely & me can sit in the front seat and Zaccy can sit in [...]
Each night before bed Zoe and Joel have a cup of milk. Joel is a routine boy – he must have his milk, he must be sitting next to Zoe while he drinks it and they must sit on the kitchen floor. Zoe likes to stir the pot and gets up and moves around the [...]
Imagine the fun you can have with a wrap.
Zoe can swim unaided without a floaty! She only learnt how to swim with a floaty a fortnight ago. She’s making big strides. She’s off to pre-school next week, she turns 4 tomorrow, and she now sleeps without a nappy. She’s growing up, our little baby.
Zoe: “Brum saves the day on Brum and Sporticus saves the day on Lazytown” Mum: “Who saves the day here?” Zoe: Jesus — Zoe: “Daddy is the winner” Mum: “Why” Zoe: “Because Daddy drives the car” — Zoe: “Daddy put winter on inside because its summer outside” (talking about the aircon).
Zoe and Joel love playing hide and seek.
Zoe is not impressed with Zac’s lung capacity.
